FAQ

Questions about how ARC handles overage claims.

These answers explain what ARC does for clients, how the percentage-based service model works, and what to expect when you contact us.

Do I need to research this myself before contacting you?

No. Send ARC whatever details you have, even if some information is missing. ARC researches the statutes, records, claimant issues, and next steps for you.

What work do you handle for me?

ARC reviews the property event, researches the governing rules and record trail, checks claimant-standing issues, identifies supporting documents, and coordinates the recovery path if the matter can move forward.

How does your percentage-based fee work?

ARC does the research and recovery work, and is paid a percentage when recovery work is completed. Specific terms are handled directly in writing, and no public page guarantees that a matter will move forward or recover funds.

Do you have a legal team that works on these matters?

Yes. Our legal team works with us on these matters when legal support is needed. ARC itself is not a law firm, and contacting ARC does not create an attorney-client relationship.

What if I am not sure funds exist?

You can still contact ARC. We can review the available facts and determine what still needs to be researched before a viable recovery path can be assessed.

What if I do not know whether this was a tax sale or foreclosure?

That is common. Send any notices, dates, or property details you have, and ARC will determine which process appears to apply.

What if I am an heir, estate representative, or family member?

ARC reviews standing issues tied to heirs, estates, and related parties, along with the documents that may be needed before any recovery path can be confirmed.

What should I send first?

The property state, property address if known, any sale or court dates, notices, letters, reference numbers, and any ownership or estate documents already available are helpful. Only basic facts are needed to start.

What if a deadline is close?

Say that clearly and include the date if you know it. Timing rules differ, so ARC will review the deadline issue as part of its research.

Do you work nationwide and remotely?

Yes. ARC works with claimants across the United States, and the initial review can begin remotely by phone or email.

How long can the process take?

Timing depends on the state, the type of sale, record availability, claimant issues, and the agency or court involved. ARC cannot promise a timeline, but we can explain the likely next steps after review.
